Cannabis as Medicine
Why I use Cannabis as medicine
A large part of it is due to my serious issue with Ototoxicity!
But truly, cannabis is therapeutic and medicinal for me in so many ways, I can’t imagine having to go through my medical journey without it.
I have had quite a few people messaging me asking if cannabis makes me dizzier and if it helps me with vestibular symptoms.
The truth is cannabis HAS ALWAYS been a BIG part of my life and after developing invisible illness, cannabis has made a huge impact on my healing process and medical treatment. Because of my vestibular and cochlear damage most pharmaceutical medications are a no go for me, so marijuana plays an even bigger role for me now than it ever did. It truly is my medication and how I get through the day.
To be quite honest IT DOESN’T MAKE ME DIZZY AT ALL.
It provides incredible symptom relief for me in so many ways and for so many types of symptoms. It allows me to use one form of medicinal modality to cover multiple disorders and their symptoms at the same time.
Vestibular relief for me includes head pressure, sinus pressure, migraine pain, fibro pain, nausea, anxiety, insomnia, (really helps me with barometric pressure issues and ear popping)!!
Let’s not forget my Pelvic Pain too.
When I am at my worst with pelvic pain I resort to cannabis.
Personally, I have some strong opinions about options for traditional pain control and pharmaceuticals, and I try my best to stay away from prescription medications and keep it as natural as possible. But when suffering from complex pain syndrome, sometimes I have no choice and end up having to take what I call “ZOMBIE MEDS”.
I can’t tell you how many ridiculous prescription medications doctors have prescribed and have recommended for me.
Its literally absurd!
I NEVER fill them, but I keep the written RX just to have record of how insane Western medicine can be at times.
If I took those medications, I wouldn’t be a person anymore, more like a zombie with no personality.
AND IM TALKING HARDCORE MEDICATIONS (some extremely questionable).
I almost laugh at them when they suggest or write them out for me. But out of respect, I take the RX paper home, throw them in a drawer and a joint instead.
Over the course of my medical journey, I have gotten off all medications and only resort to cannabis for pain and symptom control. Other than the exceptions of my Vyyepti Infusion and backup meds for emergencies, I have discontinued EVERYTHING.
I find that keeping It clean, simple, and natural is what works best for me and what gives me the most relief.
I can’t explain enough how much cannabis has impacted me and my healing in such a positive way.
